Hengqin expands free housing program of up to 15 days to attract global talent

Under the newly implemented "Million Talents Gathering in South Guangdong" action plan, job seekers arriving in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation ZoneinHengqin can now access up to 15 days of complimentary accommodation, removing the first-stop financial barrier for young professionals entering the local labor market.

The program is specifically tailored to recent graduates and young professionals from Hong Kong and Macao. Eligible applicants include those who hold an associate degree or higher and are within five years of graduation, as well as any Hong Kong or Macao youth under the age of 30.

To qualify, inpiduals must be non-residents of Zhuhai without local housing, maintain good health, and provide a formal interview invitation from a local employer.

The stay policy is designed with maximum flexibility to accommodatejob hunting. While standard stays begin with a three-day (two-night) slot, applicants can extend their visit by providing interview invitations from different companies, up to a total of seven days.

For those classified as "keytalent," the initial staycan beextended to five days, with a cumulative maximum of 15 days (14 nights) available through the extension process. Thetiered system provides a substantial safety net for high-priority candidates navigatingdifferent kinds ofrecruitment cycles.

Navigating the application process has been streamlined through a digital-first approach. Prospective residents can apply via the "Zhuhai Youth" official WeChat account. After registering, users can browse thehub list toselect their preferred district and site, and submit their personal details along with their interview documentation.

Once an application is approved, the candidate simply needs to present their ID and digital voucher at the designated site before 10:00 PM on the day of arrival.
