To ensure the smooth operation of events related to the 15th National Games, including rehearsals, the torch relay, and the opening ceremony, adjustments will be made to Guangzhou's metro and bus services.

Guangzhou Metro adjustments on November 1st and 9th

On November 1st (rehearsal day) from 12:00 PM until the end of operation, and on November 9th (opening ceremony day) for the entire day, certain stations on Metro Lines 4 and 21 will suspend services. Specifically, Huangcun Station on Line 4 and the section from Tianhe Park to Suyuan Station on Line 21 will stop operating.

During this period, interchange services at Tianhe Park Station (Lines 11 and 13) and Suyuan Station (Line 6) with Line 21 will also be temporarily suspended. However, Tianhe Park Station on Lines 11 and 13 will remain operational, as will Suyuan Station on Line 6, with interchange available between Lines 11 and 13.

Additionally, on November 9th, Chebei Station on Line 4 will suspend services before 10:00 PM and will resume operations towards Nansha Passenger Terminal after 10:00 PM.

Two metro feeder bus routes will operate during the suspension period. Feeder Route 1 will run between Tianfu Road (Tianhe Park Metro Station) and Shuixi Station (bidirectional), passing through Tianfu Road, Zhongshan Avenue, Keyuan Road, Huaguan Road, and Kexue Avenue, with stops at relevant stations along the way. Feeder Route 2 will operate between Chebei South Metro Station and Chebei Viaduct Station (bidirectional), traveling via Chebei Road, Zhongshan Avenue, Huicai Road, Huicai North Road, Huangcun Interchange, and Guangyuan Expressway, with stops at relevant stations.

These two feeder routes will operate from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM on November 1st and from 06:00 AM to 12:00 AM on November 9th.

Guangzhou bus adjustments on November 2nd

The torch relay will take place on the morning of November 2nd, and traffic control measures will be implemented on certain roads, including Datong Road, Tanyue Street, and Qingbo Road.

Due to the traffic control, seven bus routes, including 89, 194, and 781, along with 77 bus stops such as Ersha Island (Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital) Station, Ersha West Station, Dashatou Cruise Terminal Station, and Dashatou Terminal Station, will be temporarily adjusted.

These adjustments may involve short-loop operations or detours to ensure public transportation for residents. Meanwhile, the transportation authorities will resume normal bus operations as soon as conditions permit.
